Interested in becoming a Ham?

Rags can help!

RAGS is always interested in helping new people to become involve in Amateur Radio.  RAGS can help aspiring Hams to get their license, learn how to use the latest in Ham Radio technology, or just to be comfortable making that first contact!  We're here to help!  If you're interested in testing or classes, click here for more info.  For more general questions, drop us a line here.

Winter Technician Class: See brochure here!

RAGS meets monthly from September through June on the second Thursday of each month at the North Syracuse Community Center, 700 South Bay Road, N. Syracuse.  See the calendar for details!  Meeting starts at 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm.

Guests are always welcome!  You don't need to be a Ham to join RAGS, and we can help you to become one, if you are interested!!

Radio Amateurs of Greater Syracuse (RAGS) is an ARRL affiliated club promoting all aspects of Ham Radio in the Syracuse, NY area.

We have a strong history of public service, serving as radio support for numerous community activities throughout the year.  We have an annual Hamfest (a Ham Radio flea market weekend), a scholarship program, and numerous educational programs at our meetings.  Come join us and see what Ham Radio is all about!
